NFL’s Rams have made some moves to build around QB Jared Goff

The New York Jets have added a veteran quarterback to the offense, signing Goff to a one-year contract.

The Jets announced the move Tuesday, adding that Goff would be paid $5.5 million this season.

The former UCLA quarterback was the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft and was signed as a free agent by the Philadelphia Eagles.

He is expected to compete with Case Keenum for the starting job behind Geno Smith and Bryce Petty.
